Six boxed pieces of gooey butter cake on a butcher block, each carrying a printed Missouri Baking Co label reading Established 1924, 2027 Edwards St

Boxed for the drive

Gooey butter cake

Plain and strawberry, boxed and labelled with the same three lines they print on everything: established 1924, 2027 Edwards St, and the phone number.

It travels well. One reviewer found it difficult to choose only four items, then ate the napoleon first.

Every quote below is a five star Google review, reproduced as it was written.

... It is a small, family-owned Italian bakery that is always busy, but in a good way. When you walk in, it feels very authentic and welcoming - the staff is talking with customers, helping people pick out items, and it just has that classic neighborhood bakery vibe. It is not fancy at all, but that is part of what makes it so good.

Friendly, efficient service. Everything looked fresh & smelled wonderful. It was difficult only choosing 4 items. Ate the Napoleon first. Delicious. Plan to stop here again on our next visit to St Louis.

The Missouri Baking Company is a boisterous, wonderfully scented, incredibly friendly bakery...as it should be since it is located on The Hill! The staff are always outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable. ... I also appreciate that they have delicious sugar-free options for people like my mom.
